According to the report, Maanshan Iron & Steel Company Limited (Masteel) was about to restructure a continuous galvanizing line in order to manufacture new coated products, the corrosion-resistant Zn-Al-Mg coated steel sheets, which could be used in construction industries and home appliances. 

The restructuring content would include the design and supply of a Stein horizontal furnace, the changes of the after-pot cooling tower and a post-processing section assembled with air coolers and a new hot air dryer.

It was expected that the first coil of Zn-Al-Mg coated steel would be produced by the end of 2020.
